General Settings (V1.09)

This section allows you to configure the core functionalities of the indicator for greater control and flexibility.

General Settings

Show Mitigated:

Displays mitigated order blocks (OBs) and hidden order blocks (HOBs) – meaning those that have already been revisited or “filled” by price.

Mitigated OBs are usually considered inactive, but showing them can be helpful to:

  • Study how price reacts to previously respected zones

  • Understand deeper structural shifts in the market

  • Identify zones that may still act as support/resistance

Mitigated OBs and HOBs are useful for post-trade analysis and advanced contextual reading.

Show OBs

Enables the display of Order Blocks (OBs) – key zones where institutional trading activity likely occurred, often leading to strong price moves. These blocks are core components of Smart Money trading and are used to:

  • Identify high-probability entry and exit zones

  • Define market structure and imbalances

This is one of the most essential settings for any SMC trader.

Show HOBs:

Displays Hidden Order Blocks / Hidden Breaker Blocks, which are often derived from internal price action – e.g. fair value gaps (FVG) that aren’t visible as classic OBs.

  • Displays both Hidden Order Blocks (HOBs) and Partial Hidden Order Blocks (PHOBs) for more precise market structure analysis.

  • Performance Note: HOBs require three times the computational effort compared to PHOBs. Use this option strategically to balance performance and detail.

  • HOBs are twice as wide as PHOBs (default: 2px vs 1px)

Further information: See below

Hide PHOBs (Partial Hidden Order Blocks)

This option hides all Partial Hidden Order Blocks (PHOBs).

These are special cases of Hidden OBs where:

  • The price only penetrates the Fair Value Gaps (FVG) through the equilibrium level,

  • But does not close through the full body of the HOB.

So the block has some interaction with price but lacks a full confirmation with the body..

If Show HOBs is off and Hide PHOBs is on, then no Hidden Order Blocks or Breaker Blocks will be visible at all.

This combo completely filters them from the chart.

Use this setting when you only want to see fully confirmed HOBs and want to avoid noise from partial price reactions.

Hide Possibles:

This option hides all blocks marked as “Possible”, meaning they are not yet fully confirmed. These may include both OBs and HOBs that haven’t yet fulfilled all validation criteria (e.g., body closures, multiple reactions, etc.).

HOBs hat have already passed through multiple Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) may still be classified as “Possible” by the system.

These zones should not be underestimated, because:

  • Repeated FVG interaction often adds to their structural strength
  • They can evolve into extremely powerful zones
  • They may continue absorbing liquidity and build up pressure for a sharp reaction

So while they are labeled “Possible,” these levels may in fact be some of the most significant areas on your chart.

Best practice: visually monitor Possibles instead of filtering them blindly—especially in confluence zones or higher timeframes.

Possible HOBs and PHOBs

“Possible” HOBs and PHOBs

You shouldn’t hide “Possibles” by default. For example, here’s a 6-time HOB (it has already gone through 6 FVGs) and is currently trying to confirm its 7th FVG pass. If you hide it now, you might miss a very important level.

Ext. mitig. HOBs (extend mitigated HOBs):

Shows Extended Mitigated Hidden OBs – even after they’ve been mitigated (price revisited), they remain visible and extended forward on the chart.

Why use this?

  • Review past reactions

  • Identify secondary touches

  • Backtest if price still respects old hidden zones

Especially valuable for longer-term traders or educators.

Ext. OBs (extend Order Blocks):

  • Extends all active order blocks to the right until they are invalidated.
  • This option makes it easier to see if the price reacts to these blocks over time.

This option is also important for the visualization for clusters. Boxes are then extended to the right-hand edge.

Tips:

  • Performance Optimization: Disabling unnecessary options (e.g., Historical OBs or FVGs) can enhance performance, especially when analyzing multiple timeframes or large datasets.
  • Best Use Case: For detailed analyses, enable “High Quality Breaker Blocks” and “Extend OBs” to maximize clarity of market structure.

Deep Dive: Show High Quality Breaker Blocks

This option allows you to display high-quality Breaker Blocks (HOBs) in your analysis. These blocks represent the strongest and most reliable Hidden Order Blocks, which meet strict criteria for identification.

Key Details:

  • HOBs require 3x more computational resources compared to Partial Hidden Order Blocks (PHOBs). This is due to their stricter validation process, ensuring they provide highly accurate and actionable insights.

  • To optimize performance, you can enable or disable this option based on your needs:

  • Enabled: Displays both HOBs and PHOBs for a comprehensive view of the market structure.

  • Disabled: Focuses only on PHOBs to reduce computational load and improve performance.

When to Use:

  • Enable this option when you require precise and high-confidence levels for Breaker Blocks in your trading analysis.

  • Disable it if you are working with lower performance settings or want to analyze a larger number of historical candles.

This flexibility ensures that the indicator adapts to both your trading style and your system’s performance capabilities.
