How is it done – Why are OBs missing on the mapped symbol?

The synthetic OBs are generated by scaling the mapped symbol’s price action to match the price structure of the base chart. This is done using a normalization factor, which adjusts the mapped symbol’s price data to align with the price scale of the primary asset.

Essentially, the mapping transposes the OBs and BBs into a new, derived structure that reflects the relative movements between the two assets. This means the resulting OBs are not present in the original mapped symbol but are rather calculated based on how the mapped symbol would behave if it followed the base chart’s price action.

Good to know: The OBs and BBs generated through mapping are synthetic OBs and BBs. They do not exist on the original mapping symbol itself. Essentially, the mapping process creates a new “synthetic” chart with its own OBs and BBs.
